The purpose of the CAFÉ is to provide a language for talking about reading development, a structure for conferring, and a system for tracking growth and fostering student independence. Teachers have correlated many beanies to various strategies which are used by teachers and students during the Daily 5 reading block and interventions.  Have some beanies you would like to find a good home for…Southwick is still looking for CAFÉ Beanies…Eagle Eye, Flipper the Dolphin, Stretchy Snake, Lips the Fish, and Spinner the Spider!
